While lawn mowers are often used to cut grass, many are also used for racing competitions. If you want to get into racing without having to spend a lot of money in the process, build your own racing lawn mower to lead you to the finish line. Use an ordinary lawn mower and tweak it to speed up its performance. There are several ways to increase your lawn mower's speed.

Ride on your lawn mower to get a full view of the governor. The hooks are located at the sides of the device. Removing the governor will take away the speed limit of your engine and provides it with more output power.
